Happy *almost* birthday to sweet Claire!  I can't believe she is about to turn two.  I love seeing my (photo) babies grow up!

Unblogged but not forgotten

This was one of my favorite sessions EVER! I mean it too - family sessions can be a wee bit stressful sometimes but we had so much fun.  In fact in a perfect world I would be hiring Charley to come with me to every session I do because man he had everybody giggling and laughing - including me.  

Anyway somehow I managed not to blog it but even though it took me a while and this family has seen and gone through the whole process of choosing images I wanted to share them with you. If you have seen any of my marketing materials around you will have seen this family image.  Can we say ... perfection?

Baby Brooks

I was SO excited to photograph this gorgeous family and their newest little one - baby Brooks! (Don't you love his name by the way?)  His mom and dad were up for anything so we had some fun going outside.  This was before the crazy 40 degree drop though!  Thank goodness for that warm weekend we had!  He was so tiny and perfect...  even though it has been just 9 months since Gracie was born I think I have baby fever again ;)  MUST.STAY.STRONG after newborn sessions!!

Beautiful

Most of the time I shoot babies, children and their families and I LOVE IT!  But it is SOO nice to go for a change.  I had such a blast with this gorgeous woman who is a client and a friend of mine the other day.  And when we wrapped up in less than an hour with chit chatting included it dawned on me that adults can really follow directions and they don't run away ;)  Anyway if you do not know what to give your husband for his birthday or for your anniversary... why don't you give me a call?   It is not as painful as you think it would be and I know he would love an awesome portrait of you so much better than yet another tie ;)

PS.  If you need a decorator - she is one of the most talented ones in Dallas!  Call me and I will fwd her info :)

Gearing up for valentine's day!

100% sweet!

Happy belated birthday to Ellie!  Ok I have to confess...  I just love this baby little girl..  Why you ask? Well she is a photographer's dream.  First of all check out those eyes!  Amazing.  Second of all.. yes she is all smiles.  ALL.THE.TIME.  Even with the wind blowing, even when I go crazy and make her change outfits three times and play with all my new props with her.  Third...  she could make things hard but instead she just lets me shoot and she stays there as long as I pull a few fake sneezes, silly songs and play pekaboo real good behind the camera. I just love her!  She is just 100% sweet.  I have been shooting her since she was just a tiny newborn and I can't wait to see her grow up...  my camera will be honored and happy at the beautiful sight and delightful company... always!

You probably have been wondering where I have been...  Well after a busy, busy holiday & Christmas season (thanks to my awesome clients!)  I took December and January off to enjoy life with my family and my baby girl who is already 8 months old! It was a wonderful time to relax, recharge and miss getting my hands on the camera!  I am so ready to make 2009 the best and most creative year for Ruth Williams Photography yet!  The website is almost done and we have a new blog on the works.  Can't wait to show you! 

To kick off 2009 here is a rocking session from this weekend.  

I am pretty sure mom is going to be BLOWN away - had to give her a preview of things to come so here it is!  This guy did such a great job, had really great ideas and all the attitude to pull these images off - we had a blast - and I am over the moon with these images which are going straight to my new site!
